In this six-hour tour de force, FLYING: CONFESSIONS OF A FREE WOMAN, master storyteller Jennifer Fox lays bare her own turbulent life to penetrate what it means to be a free woman today. As her drama of work and relationships unfolds over four years, our protagonist travels to over seventeen countries to understand how diverse women define their lives when there is no map. Employing an ingenious new camera technique, called “passing the camera”, Fox creates a documentary language that mirrors the special way women communicate.

AN AMERICAN LOVE STORY is the story of Bill Sims and Karen Wilson — a black man and white woman who have struggled for 30 years against the racial stereotypes and societal prejudices that have tried — sometimes viciously — to divide them. Culled from more than 1,000 hours of original footage, the series chronicles a year-and-a-half in the life of the Wilson-Sims family, offering a joyful testament to the everyday lives of this couple as they work, cope with illness, juggle finances, and raise their bi-racial daughters — Cicily, a 20-year-old senior at Colgate University, and Chaney, a 12-year-old seventh grader on the brink of adolescence.

BEIRUT: THE LAST HOME MOVIE is an imaginative film which challenges documentary form and concepts of reality by exposing a personal response to a global event—three months in the life of a Lebanese family living in a heavily-bombed Beirut neighborhood. This extraordinary film captures the real-life experiences of a family living in one of the most chaotic wars in history and provides insight into the psychology of war, 20th century-style. It also reveals the power of cinema verité at its best: a seemingly simple recording of everyday life becomes a fascinating, complex and many-layered look at the connections between personal and political lives.

At a time when more women than ever are getting breast implants, fewer voices than ever seem to be asking “Why?” And fewer still are asking “Are they safe?” ABSOLUTELY SAFE takes an open-minded, personal approach to the controversy over breast implant safety. Ultimately, ABSOLUTELY SAFE is the story of everyday women who find themselves and their breasts in the tangled and confusing intersection of health, money, science, and beauty.

COWBOYS, INDIANS, & LAWYERS follows the fortunes of two enemy camps as they struggle over the fate of the free-flowing Animas River in Colorado. In an intimate portrait of pork barrel politics, the film takes us along as these unlikely nemeses bring their cases to the halls of Congress, revealing the rich complexities of American democracy and Anglo-Indian relations through a rural community battle over money, power, and water.
An acclaimed environmental artist and first-time filmmaker, Kit-Yin Snyder uses double-exposed imagery to convey the duality of immigrant identity—a notion that she has been living out ever since she left China as a teenager. The result is DOUBLE EXPOSURE, a short film that pairs Snyder’s no-holds-barred candor and self-effacing humor with beautiful, haunting visuals drawn from the Chinese culture she left behind.

LOVE & DIANE tells the epic story of a family over three generations. At its heart lies the highly charged relationship between a mother and daughter, desperate for love and forgiveness but caught in a devastating cycle. For Love, the world changed forever when she and her siblings were torn from their mother, Diane. Separated from her family and thrust into a terrifying world of institutions and foster homes, the memory of that moment is more vivid to her than her present life.
